Macsen is doing much much better now. He was transferred up to the Cardiac ICU Rm 3. He got to eat something - finally at 3:30- all the noodles from Chicken noodle soup, a few bites of banana and a few juice boxes. We met with several fellows and with Dr.Blume who directs the heart failure program. She feels bc Macsen was dehydrated from stopping all food and drink for his cath plus his beta blocker it caused him to become hypoglycemic but there are other theories as well they want to rule out. They want to rule out. They are holding all his diuretics and the coreg. Getting another Iv soon bc they were only able to access a vein in his foot when he was passed out this morning and that is not a great place for an active 5 yr old.
We hope to be transferred over to step down soon which is a much more relaxed setting.
