Help?

Update  2020:

8 years into this journey and we have learned we can never predict what the next 3 months will bring. We have another surgery coming - #5. 

Update 2017 : Now that we are officially post open heart surgery #3 we are doing better financially and are glad to be able to stand on our own. We still stretch every penny traveling for all M's appt's and therapies but we haven't had any unexpected extended hospital stays so we are doing ok <3  Thank you again everyone that helped us give Macsen such a wonderful start - always supported and surrounded by family. 

2015 

As much as I hate to ask for help I have to tell myself it's not for me - it's for Macsen and his sisters. While we have insurance that should cover most of his $3 million in surgeries it doesn't cover flights to Philadelphia from our home in Alabama. Or the unpaid time off work when Aaron uses up his vacation days on out of state dr appointments. The 6 hour round trip to his cardiologist in Florida or the 8 hours to his other specialists in Atlanta. The shuttling back and forth to his different therapists. 

He will never be "fixed." He will always have half a heart and will always need monitoring, echos, EKGs, tests, tests,tests. We hope after this 3rd surgery we can take this "Help" page down because we will be living more like a normal family.
