All done now having fun

Today was long. Macsen was the perfect patient 99% of the day but after 5 hours of pokes, prods, lots of waiting, best behavior with lots of new medical professionals he had enough. When his new cardiologist came in he rolled over on the exam table, turning his back to us all and made himself as small as he could get against the wall. He said “no one get in my bubble.” Dr.Marx didn’t even see his face for the first 10 minutes bc he hid under his blanket.
So the plan is tomorrow at 10 am Mac will get the electrophysiology study via a cath. They don’t know yet if the pacemaker will help him. DrMarx is consulting with many other specialists on Mac’s case so we have to wait for them to reach a consensus on whether he is a candidate for surgery on Tuesday. They want to make sure this is the best thing for him - to put him through another surgery when he is already so fragile medically. So much rides on this cath - it’s hard to pray for another surgery but the alternative is he is ineligible and we are out of interventions to help save his heart.
Today will be the last time he can swim for a while so we all got in with him and had a fun afternoon.
